I missed the initial post on KitchenAid, but saw it today on Steve's Top 10 List. About a decade ago I was in a position to work with the Greenville KitchenAid plant on several expansions. I also witnessed some difficult years when globalization was putting incredible pressure on the company. You have to give credit to the employees and management for making a conscious decision to hang in there and compete. While most small appliance manufacturers were throwing in the towel and off shoring, the good people at KitchenAid were finding ways to get it done. Americans can do about anything when they decide to pull together and make it happen. Hats off to the good people of Greenville and Darke County!
